Final-year Business Information Technology student at the University of Twente. At CAPE I benchmarked five databases on a client's 1.4 billion rows. On the one we recommended, their queries ran up to 57x faster, and switching would save about $10,400 a year in infrastructure costs. In my own time I've launched Conatus, TwenteNotes and Platd.

PlatdSoloRecipe discovery app where you swipe to build a personal cookbook.
Groups let multiple people swipe independently and surface the recipes everyone said yes to. Its 1,200+ recipes come from an AI agent pipeline that writes each recipe and generates its photo, and nothing goes live until it has been reviewed. Go REST API with JWT auth and PostgreSQL via Supabase.

Software Engineering Intern at CAPE (Carthago ICT)

Feb 2026–Apr 2026

The client's 174 GB PostgreSQL database was running out of memory on its dashboard queries. I proposed and built a benchmarking tool that tests each database on 17 of the client's real queries, and ran it on PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, ClickHouse, QuestDB and InfluxDB 2 with 1.4 billion rows. Our team recommended ClickHouse: up to 57x faster than PostgreSQL, 13 GB of storage instead of 174 GB and an estimated $10,400 a year less in Azure infrastructure costs.
